Colleagues from the Sorbonne university in Paris (Prof. Marianne COHEN) seek to hire a PhD student to work on old terraces in the South East France and how they play a role in both limiting water-related hazards but also help biodiversity and are integrated in the landscape and local agriculture. It is based on a geographical & geological approach.

PhD position on rock glacier evolution, university of Zurich [25mars]

We are offering a PhD position within our « Glaciology and Geomorphodynamics » group at the Department of Geography, University of Zurich. As part of the SNF-funded project RoDynAlpS (Rock glacier dynamics in the Swiss Alps: evolution and drivers at multiple spatio-temporal scales), the PhD project will contribute to the Reconstruction and analysis of the past evolution of rock glaciers in Switzerland. PhD candidate, Institute of Palaeontology at the Research Centre of the Slovenian Academy of Sciences & Arts (ZRC SAZU) in Ljubljana [25mars]

 

We are looking for a PhD candidate to work at the Institute of Palaeontology at the Research Centre of the Slovenian Academy of Sciences & Arts (ZRC SAZU) in Ljubljana, starting on 1st October 2024.

The PhD project, supervised by Dr Andrea Martín Pérez, will be focused on sedimentology of continental carbonates, investigating the role of geobiological processes and early diagenesis in the paleoenvironmental record. The detailed content of the doctoral research will be finalized with the selected applicant.

The application deadline is April 15th, 2024, 2 pm (CET).

Doctorat/Post-doctorat Coastal geomorphology/geoarchaeology [11mars]

Dans le cadre du projet ERC-Cog “Ships Harbouring In Port” dirigé par Emmanuel Nantet (Université de Haïfa, Israël), nous recherchons des candidat·es ayant un intérêt pour l’évolution à long terme des zones côtières et l’étude des interactions sociétés/environnement.

La personne recrutée, participera aux travaux de géomorphologie/géoarchéologie entrepris dans le cadre du programme ERC visant à reconstruire l’évolution géomorphologique de différents sites portuaires antiques de Méditerranée.
